What is AnchorBank’s Refer-A-Friend program?
Referring friends may earn a $50 gift card for each referred friend who registers and then opens and uses an AnchorBank personal checking account within 60 days of registering. The Referrer is eligible to receive one $50 gift card for each registered referral who opens an AnchorBank personal checking account and establishes a minimum monthly direct deposit of $500 OR makes 10 debit card transactions, not including ATM transactions, within 60 days of account opening.
How can customers refer a friend?
Customers must register online at anchorbankreferafriend.com. Customers may then invite friends to register via included links to email or social media. Customers also may make referrals using a referral card, available at our branches. The referred customer must present the card (or the information on the card if opening an account by phone) at the time of account opening.
What should the friend do when he/she is referred online?
Referred friends need to complete the following steps to be eligible for a $50 gift card:

Who can be referred?
You can refer any friend who is not a current AnchorBank checking account holder, has not held an AnchorBank checking account within the past six months, and meets the qualification requirements. Both the referring customer and referred friend must be 18 years of age or older. There are no limits on how many friends you can refer. AnchorBank employees and their immediate family members are not eligible.
What does the referred friend need to do?
If a referred friend receives an invitation via email or social media, the referred friend must register online via the referral link to be eligible to earn the $50 gift card for him/herself and the referring friend.
If a referred friend does not register for Refer-A-Friend after clicking on my referral link but then opens an AnchorBank personal checking account, can I still get the $50 gift card?
Yes, as long as the referred friend provides your referral information via phone when opening an AnchorBank personal checking account or brings a referral card into the branch at the time of account opening.
How can I ensure my friend’s privacy will not be infringed upon?
AnchorBank protects the information of all users and will never share either your or your friend’s account information with an unaffiliated third party
When will the referrer and referred friend get their $50 gift cards?
Both the referrer and the referred friend will be notified by U.S. Mail within 60 days of the qualifying requirement being met. They each will be invited to go to a website to select the card they would like to receive. Each gift card recipient will receive a unique code in the mail to use when selecting his/her gift card
When will the referrer and referred friend receive their gift cards?
The $50 gift cards the referrer and the referred friend select will be mailed within 14 days. Accounts must be open and must have a positive balance at the time of issuance of the gift card rewards.
How many friends can be referred?
There is no limitation on the number of referrals.
What happens when a friend registers and then shares the program with his/her friends?
If your friend registers for Refer-A-Friend and then shares his/her link with friends via email and/or social media, he/she will earn a $50 gift card for each of his/her friends who registers, opens an AnchorBank personal checking account, and meets the requirements, regardless of whether he/she has opened an account.
If a customer receives notification that he/she qualified for a gift card and has selected a card, but it has not arrived, whom should he/she contact?
Customers should call Customer Motivators, the gift card fulfillment vendor, at 1-866-642-7710, for questions related to gift cards.
How long will the AnchorBank Refer-A-Friend referral program last?
The Refer-A-Friend program is in effect as of July 25, 2014, and is subject to change or discontinuation without notice.

Referring friends may earn a $50 gift card for each friend referred who registers and then opens and uses an AnchorBank personal checking account within 60 days of registering. Referrer is eligible to receive one $50 gift card for each registered referral who opens and uses an AnchorBank personal checking account. To be eligible to receive a $50 gift card, referred friends must open an AnchorBank personal checking account and establish a minimum monthly direct deposit of $500 OR make 10 debit card transactions, not including ATM transactions, within 60 days of account opening. There is no limit to the number of referrals or $50 gift cards that can be earned by the referrer. Referred friends who register, open and use an AnchorBank personal checking account will also receive a $50 gift card.
Referred friend(s) must meet all requirements. Referred individual(s) who currently have a checking account or who closed an AnchorBank checking account within the last six (6) months are not eligible. In addition, the person making the referral can't be on the new checking account, and this includes being listed as a Power of Attorney.
Referred friends who register and then share the program with other friends can also earn $50 gift cards for friends who register and then open and use an AnchorBank personal checking account, regardless of whether they themselves have opened an account.
Referred friends who have received a referral card and who wish to open an AnchorBank personal checking account over the phone must call AnchorBank customer service at 800-252-6246 and provide their referral information prior to account opening to qualify for the gift card. If the referee is NOT registering online and the account is opened at an AnchorBank branch, a referral card must be presented at the time of account opening.
Referrer and qualified friend will be notified by U.S. Mail to choose a gift card within 60 days of the qualifying requirement(s) being met, and $50 gift cards will be sent out within 14 days of selection. Accounts must be opened within 60 days of registering online or calling in. Accounts must be open and in good standing at time of payment of reward. A 1099 may be issued. AnchorBank employees and their immediate family members are not eligible. Both referring customer and referred friend must be 18 years of age or older.
For the purpose of the protection of customer privacy, AnchorBank will NOT notify referring individuals that a specific friend has registered and opened an account. However, referring individuals will receive notice when they are eligible to choose a $50 gift card.
Important Privacy Notice: By agreeing to participate in the AnchorBank Refer-A-Friend program, you agree that the referrer may be aware that you opened an account when he/she receives a referral bonus.
